Teltonika OTD500

The OTD500 is Teltonika's IP55-rated outdoor 5G router — built to bolt to a wall, mast or roof and forget about. 5G Sub-6 GHz with peak 3.4 Gbps downlink, LTE Cat 19 fallback at 1.6 Gbps, dual-SIM + eSIM auto-switching, and PoE-in/out so you can run power and data over a single Ethernet cable. The kind of unit you specify when the connectivity needs to survive whatever the British weather throws at it.

Best for

EV charging sites

Mount the unit on the charger canopy or a nearby mast. PoE-out can power a camera or sensor over the second Ethernet. IP55 means it stays put through winters.

Construction and temporary sites

5G uplink for the site office and welfare cabins. Dual-SIM + eSIM means you can pre-provision both before the unit ships and swap operators without a site visit.

Outdoor digital signage and DOOH

Roof-mounted, weather-proof, PoE-powered. Drives the screens, the camera array and the analytics endpoint from one cellular uplink.

Connected agriculture and remote monitoring

Designed for the kind of installations where you don't want to send an engineer out. Robust, remote-managed via Teltonika RMS, observable via the SIMSY portal.

Frequently asked

How is it powered?
PoE-in via the included injector — one Ethernet cable carries both power and data. There's also a local DC option for sites with existing power.
What's the PoE-out for?
The second Gigabit Ethernet port can power a downstream PoE device — typically an IP camera, sensor, or local AP — without needing another power feed at the mast.
Will it survive a British winter?
IP55-rated against dust and water spray. Operating temperature -40 °C to +55 °C. The integrated 6 kV ground-free lightning protection covers it against the worst British weather can offer.
Does it ship with a SIM?
No — hardware only. For outdoor / unattended deployments we usually recommend pairing with the Enterprise Starter (10 SIMs + priority support).
What's the warranty?
24 months manufacturer warranty. We handle returns and exchanges through the SIMSY shop — see the returns policy.
