Teltonika TRB140

The TRB140 is Teltonika's pocket-sized LTE-to-Ethernet gateway — palm-of-your-hand small, aluminium housed, and built around a single Gigabit Ethernet port. Drop it in front of any Ethernet device and you have cellular backhaul. The cheapest and smallest way to put a SIMSY SIM in front of a PLC, kiosk, ATM, vending machine, or anything else that has an RJ-45 socket and needs to talk to the outside world.

Best for

Putting a fixed-line device on cellular

PLC, kiosk, payment terminal, building management system — anything with an Ethernet port. The TRB140 sits between the device and the outside world. Drop it in, plug in, done.

Smart-meter and concentrator backhaul

Single Gigabit Ethernet is plenty for telemetry. The compact form factor fits inside cabinets that don't have room for a full router.

Vending and unattended retail

Pop into a vending machine's service compartment. RutOS's remote management means you don't need to visit the unit again unless something goes seriously wrong.

Lab and engineering benches

Cheapest way to put a SIMSY SIM on a bench setup. Pair with a developer SIM pack for prototyping work.

Frequently asked

Does it have Wi-Fi?
No — Ethernet only. If you need Wi-Fi as well, look at the RUT241 or RUT951 PoE+.
Can I power it over Ethernet?
No — power is via the Micro-USB port. There's no PoE input. The included Micro-USB PSU is the standard way to power it.
Will it work with my SCADA system?
It's a transparent IP gateway — anything that runs over IP (Modbus TCP, MQTT, OPC UA, plain HTTP) goes through unchanged. RutOS supports VPN if you need to encrypt the backhaul.
Does it ship with a SIM?
No — hardware only. The Developer Starter (2 SIMs) is a sensible pairing — one for the TRB140, one for a backup unit or a desk reference.
What's the warranty?
24 months manufacturer warranty from Teltonika. We handle returns and exchanges through the SIMSY shop.
